Privacy at TILT

Updated October 15, 2026.

Game progress

TILT stores progress, streaks, settings, past question history and an anonymous player identifier in your browser’s local storage. Clearing site data removes these records. Daily, Unlimited and archive progress are kept separately.

Daily score comparisons

When you finish a Daily puzzle, the game sends its date, puzzle identifier, your score and the anonymous player identifier to the game server. These records produce the score distribution. They are not linked to an account or your name. Hosting providers may also process network and technical request information.

Bug reports and spam protection

Submitting a report sends the details you enter plus the game mode, puzzle date and round to the game database. Reports are retained for investigation and maintenance; no automatic report-deletion schedule is currently configured. Please do not include payment details, passwords or sensitive information.

The report endpoint uses your network address to generate a keyed one-way identifier for a rate limit of five reports per ten-minute window. The raw address is not stored in the report or rate-limit tables. Expired rate-limit records are removed when later reports are processed. Hosting logs may have separate retention.

Pictures and external providers

Catalog pictures load from Wikimedia, TVmaze, and other image hosts. Those providers receive image requests and may process technical information under their own policies. The game sends no referrer header with thumbnail requests. Documented image license credits are available in Picture credits.

Payments and advertising

No advertising or advertising-consent scripts are currently loaded. No paid Unlimited access is enabled. The support link opens our public Buy Me a Coffee page. If payments are available, that provider handles checkout under its own policies. TILT does not collect card numbers. Advertising and payment disclosures will be updated when those services are configured.
